Wow, what an amazing holiday.

When we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful the location was.
We were greeted by Glen and instantly made to feel relaxed,which was
the theme of the holiday.

The cottage was wonderfully clean and beautifully appointed. We have
been lucky enough to stay in a number of properties around the UK and
Europe. We are generally disappointed by how they are equipped, that
was definitely NOT the case with this property.  Glen and Linda have
really put a great deal of thought and love into this property. It was
a home from home, with a superbly equipped kitchen. The wifi and TV
worked brilliantly, the sofas and beds were really comfy and the
shower is amazing. This all wrapped up in a classic French property,
what more could you want.

The grounds are sensitively maintained by Glen. The lake is manicured
enough to be comfortably fisherable whilst still maintaining a natural
feel. This is reflected in the amount of wildlife to be found around
the lake. Be it the constant buzz of the kingfishers flying round the
Pool or the Red squirrels climbing in the trees behind the swim.
Simply wonderful.

We managed to have a BBQ nearly every lunchtime by the swim.  This is
our idea of a perfect day. Trenquity, some great food and a glass of
wine

Finally the fishing. What can I say !!
Fishing only days I managed exactly 50 carp. The average size was
around 35lb, and included 5 forties and five fifties. I have been
lucky enough to fish all sorts of venues in France over the last 40
years and in reality there are not many venues where you will get
figures like this, especially on an exclusive basis.
The fish are in great condition and they are testament to Glen’s
fishery management skills. So often in France the fish are
disappointing in appearance. Not so here, the fish would noy look out
of place in a UK estate lake.

My fiftieth fish was an amazing looking 58lber, you really could not
make it up. I did not manage one of the sixties on this trip but we
will be back to try and put one of them on the bank.
